The winter months are extremely trying for us due to the increase in heating costs and the decrease in visitors. This year; once again, in an effort to raise money to help feed our animal friends and keep them warm, we are holding our "8 th Annual Winter Fundraiser" at the Polish American Citizens Club located in Ludlow, Massachusetts, on January 22nd at 6 pm.We estimate that on average it costs $300.00 per month to feed and house each of our larger animals (Bears, Giraffe, Camel’s, etc,) and $150.00 per month for each of our exotic’s (spider monkeys, binturong, squirrel monkeys, etc.) All together the zoo houses over 100 different species of animals.
