Making
the Decision to Volunteer
Volunteers are essential to Lupazoo. They assist Lupazoo
staff in most aspects of Lupazoo operations and support the Zoo in
our mission to create a sustainable future for wildlife. If you
are dedicated to wildlife conservation and want to put this dedication
into practice, we invite you to consider volunteering at Lupazoo.
Whether
you are interested in assisting Lupazoo visitors, presenting education
programs, helping zookeepers with animal care, or assisting horticulture
staff with maintaining the botanical collection, there are a wide
variety of opportunities available.
Most
volunteer positions require a specific time commitment. Some
positions have specific age or previous experience requirements,
as
noted in the descriptions. All potential applicants are interviewed,
and accepted volunteers must complete a new volunteer orientation prior to beginning service.
Applicants are accepted based upon the needs of the zoo.
We welcome your inquiries about our programs and hope you
consider applying for a volunteer position!
